The first time he proposed it was on June 21st of 1997 it was his sisters wedding night and after a wild and crazy reception we came home. I sat on the couch and he got on his knee and proposed. In about 2 seconds I had an answer: Yes! the effects of the reception (even with the ring) the proposal wasn't taken seriously. No plans were made.
The official proposal
The official proposal happened on December 25th 1999.It was Christmas Day we crawled out of bed to open our gifts with our family and friends. After I had finished opening all my gifts he pulled out this T-shirt box. I opened it and there was a ring box taped to the bottom I opened it and there was a little note that read "I know that I can never repay you for what you've done for me but I hope this is a start" I looked up there was this ring in my face." I was speechless he didn't even have to hear the response he already knew it. Yes. Della (Mike's sister) started saying "it's official, they're getting married". It was obviously taken seriously because here we are.
